Our Team

I came to know Jesus as my Saviour in 2002 and I guess you could say I entered ministry in an “official” capacity when I went to seminary in 2003.  I have had the privilege of pastoring HBC since my family and I immigrated from America to Australia in 2009.

My daughter has married a fine Australian man and lives locally here on the Gold Coast. I have a son who is attending Uni locally as well. I met my wife Christine in the San Francisco Bay area in 1992 and we were married 8 months later. I couldn’t have asked for a better woman to be married to. She has been a tremendous help and encouragement throughout our time together. Everybody loves Christine, especially the kids. People often see me and the first thing they say is, “Where’s Christine?” 

My main goal in ministry has always been to serve God by teaching people God’s plan of redemption found in the Gospel of Jesus and how to live in that every day. I am myself a work in progress. 

I occasionally have another pastor ask me how I was so blessed as to end up on the Gold Coast. I like to say, “Well, Jesus loves you,  but I’m his favourite.”
